Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for 827 Constable (Tradesman) posts across various trades. SSB is one of India's Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) responsible for guarding the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders. Constable Tradesman is a non-combatant supporting role with excellent job security, government pay scale, and career benefits.
Tradesman posts in SSB include essential services like Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala (Sweeper), Waiter, and other supporting trades. These are civilian support staff within the CAPF structure. Selected candidates will be posted at SSB border outposts, battalion headquarters, and establishments across India — primarily in hill states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and North-East states. ITI holders in relevant trades get preference.
